Map Project on Hiatus

Hello 5th grade families! As you may have heard from your child, I made a final decision to cancel the map project for now. I still have everyone's map and we may revisit it again later in the year, but for right now it is taking much longer than expected and we have to move on. I gave the students a paper assessment on map skills today which, at a quick glance, they all did pretty well with.

Next week we are moving on to Latitude and Longitude! I'm excited as I have many activities planned for this unit and can't wait to share them with my students.
